Also known as three kings bread this lightly orange flavoured sweet bread is a
Mexican holiday must have. Garnished with sweet streusel and dried fruit.
In Mexico it is usually served on January 6 with the tradition of hiding a baby Jesus in the bread. The individual who finds the doll is to make tamales for the following celebration of "Dia de la Candelaria.”
To make things interesting, we will be hiding a "special token" in one of the add-ons. Whoever finds it will win a Better Food Co tote bag with a gift inside. No making tamales, we promise!
Ingredients:
- yeast, flour, sugar, eggs, milk, salt, orange extract, orange zest, confectioner sugar, shortening, dry fruit (orange peels & cherries)
